Pancake Tuesday 2016

Children from the HIgh School, Primary School and Mowbray School entered the Pancake Races today, Tuesday 9 February, with toddlers from Incy Wincy’s nursery.  All received a cream egg from Jonathan, Manager of the Co-op, with the winners of each race claiming a larger egg.  Not sure who won the Ladies’ Race.

The new Bandstand

The new Bandstand in Bedale Hall park was officially opened by the Mayor, Christine Mollard, and Guy Stanniland, who had donated the money for the construction, on Sunday 6th September.  The sun shone and a large crowd enjoyed the music from Bedale Brass Band and Leyburn Brass Band.
