Tourist Information Centre

The Tourist Information Centre is managed and run completely by volunteers; it is well stocked with leaflets about places to visit both locally and around the region.  To raise funds, it has a large number of secondhand books for sale, specialising in the Yorkshire region, tourism and maps. It can be found at the rear of Bedale Hall, DL8 1AA.

Bedale TIC

The TIC produces a list of places to eat and places to stay in and around Bedale, which is available from the TIC and is the source of the information on this website; we try to be up to date but you should always check opening times before travelling. It also produces a list of Events Ahead, the hard copy covers the next 2 weeks + regular events – market days, car boot sales, etc. –  but this site has details for further ahead under What’s On. It is open from Easter to October half term from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays. From October half term to mid December and February half term to Easter it opens on Tuesdays from 10am to 4pm and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.
