Raising money for the air ambulance

When the Grand Depart came to Yorkshire in 2014 we raised £2000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance by making and selling yellow bikes for people to decorate their shops and homes, even though the race didn’t even come through Bedale.

With the race going right through the Market Place and taking a left at White Bear corner, Dave Allison and his team have decided to produce new bikes – different shape and multi-coloured – to raise more money for the YAA.

We have already had a lot of help, Aspectcpm have provided a space for the team to work, Fall Timber are supplying plywood at cost and House and Home have organised free paint from PPG Paints!

Production has started and gets in to full swing next weekend, so the bikes will be available for sale from 1 April; 200 initially but more if there is a demand.  Cost will be £15 and at least half will go to the YAA. More details soon.
