Bedale Community Meals on Wheels

Providing hot meals three times a week, Bedale Community Meals on Wheels (BCMoW) is dedicated to cooking and delivering hot nutritional food to those requiring support in Bedale and the surrounding area. We are a voluntary organisation of committed locals who organise, cook and deliver meals on a not-for-profit basis. We are devoted to providing this reliable service for as long as is required. Bedale Community Minibus

The Bedale Community Minibus is  an independent Charitable Incorporated Organization, Charity No. 1158623.   The bus has 13 seats plus the driver, has full seat harness for all passengers and is fully accessible for wheelchairs. It can carry one wheelchair and nine passengers or two wheelchairs and seven passengers or 13 passengers.  The bus is driven and escorted by fully trained volunteers and is available for hire to groups, organizations and individuals. There is also a weekly, demand responsive, two hour morning shopping trip to Northallerton on Wednesdays, which is a door to door service.

All drivers are fully Trained (MIDAS) and DBS checked, we can also offer training to your Group, organization and school to become a driver (as long as your license includes the correct details).contact the office for further information. This could be an advantage when you require the vehicle and saves having to find a volunteer driver. We have Full day, Half day, and Evening rates and are happy to chat about charitable use the mileage is 35p per mile and a small deposit securers you’re booking (Unless other arrangements have been made). We can also negotiate rates for regular use by your group, organization or school. We are happy to chat with your group, organization or school about the advantages of using a small local community resource that can fit into your budget.
